We are pleased to introduce you to Third Girl From The Left.
Third Girl From The Left has been releasing music since 2020. A seasoned, UK, award-winning songwriter (having previously spent 15 years learning her craft as an acoustic/roots artist), she took a bold new direction with her unique mix of art pop and alt/folk and now favours soundscape synths, electric guitars, and experimental tunings blended with shruti box, zither banjo and field recordings to create sonic new worlds.
Connecting with an audience is something Third Girl From The Left loves to do, and a pivotal moment happened whilst testing out material for the new project. Nicky recalls: “It’s always a nerve-racking moment presenting a completely new project to an audience; those annoying thoughts of self-doubt creep in, but as soon as I started playing, I could just feel the audience was onboard. There was a real connection, like we were all holding each other up, everyone being seen and heard. That’s what I want my audience to feel.”
Fans of Bjork, Kate Bush, Nadine Shah and Portishead will find similarities in Third Girl From The Left’s songwriting, consistently creating impactful, genre-defying art.
